This 1988 Yamaha YZ250 is finished in Yamaha’s era specific factory colors of Competition White with a red seat and accents.
It is powered by a liquid cooled 2-stroke 249cc single cylinder engine with 8.5:1 compression, a Reed valve intake, and a 38mm carburetor mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch and a chain final drive.
Addition features include an adjustable 43mm conventional cartridge fork KYB front suspension with a KYB preload Monoshock rear suspension, aluminum swing arm, 2.6-gallon fuel tank, Boyesen Factory Racing clutch cover, 21″ front and 19″ rear gold Taksago Excel rims mounted on Pirelli Scorpion MX tires, front and rear drilled disc brakes with 2-piston calipers, Renthal red anodized handlebars, new body plastics with a graphics kit, and seat has been recovered.
