1976 Honda CR250M Elsinore
This 1976 CR250 is finished in Tahitian Red with a 248cc two-stroke single paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and chain drive. Additional equipment includes front and rear drum brakes, 21″ front and 18″ rear D.I.D. polished alloy wheels, high-mounted exhaust system, Mikuni 36mm carburetor, an HPI ignition system, and a polished kick-start lever.
This CR250 is a very early build being chassis #239 and it was completely restored to concours condition by Jim Martin at Pheonix Precision Restoration in Scottsdale, Arizona. The restoration was completed in 2021 followed by our acquisition on 3/30/2021 adding it to our private collection. The bike is completely drained of fluids and has been kept on static display in our collection preserving its exacting restoration.
It is being publicly offered for the first time since its restoration was completed in which not only is this a very important example being a very early chassis of one of the most iconic and collectible years of the legendary Honda CR250 but it is restored to an unimageable level of quality. It’s a piece of jewelry in every sense of the phrase.
