1984 Honda Trail CT110
This 1984 CT110 is finished in Monza Red and is powered by a 105cc four-stroke single paired to a dual-range four-speed transmission with an automatic clutch. Additional equipment includes street lighting with turn signals, a stamped-steel frame, electronic ignition, a skid plate, an auxiliary fuel tank, a rear luggage rack, both center and side stands, and a quick-release rotating handlebar clamp.
It was sold new in Nevada and would remain with the original owner for 37 years until it was acquired by a Las Vegas based restoration firm and completely refurbished. The restoration consisted of powder-coating the frame and body components in red and black, refinishing and resealing the engine, reupholstering the seat in black vinyl, and replacing the tires, clutch, battery, drive chain, fork, shocks, plastic bodywork, light bulbs, exhaust pipe, and grips among other services.
The frame, bodywork, 1.5-gallon fuel tank, and rear rack were powder-coated and are accented by replacement decals. Additional details include front and rear lighting with turn signals, a black-finished skid plate, both side and center stands, a reupholstered solo seat, and a side-mounted 0.6-gallon auxiliary fuel tank secured with a locking clamp that doubles as a helmet holder. Additional work performed by the seller consisted of fitting stainless-steel hardware and replacing the plastic bodywork, steering stem bearings, and light bulbs.
Wire-spoke 17″ wheels were refinished in black and mounted with replacement hub bearings and 2.75″ Shinko Golden Boy tires during the refurbishment. Suspension consists of a replacement telescopic fork with black sliders as well as twin preload-adjustable RFY shocks mounted to the swingarm. Stopping power is supplied by drum brakes at each wheel.
A black-finished handlebar is secured by a quick-release clamp and fronts a Nippon Seiki 60-mph speedometer with shift point markings as well as indicators for the high beam, neutral gear selection, and turn signals.
The 105cc SOHC four-stroke single was resealed and refinished in black. Features include a kick starter, a snorkel air intake, electronic ignition, an 18mm piston-valve carburetor, and a black-finished replacement exhaust system with full-length heat shields. Factory-rated output was 7.5 horsepower and 6.1 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a dual-range four-speed transmission actuated by a left-side heel-toe shifter along with a gold-finished drive chain. A lever on the left side of the transmission case allows selecting between high and low ranges, which provides eight forward gear combinations.
We acquired this CT110 for our private collection on 6/18/2022 with 3,757 miles and today it is offered with 3,824 miles.
