Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1984 BMW 633CSi Coupe!

This 633CSi is finished in Alpine White over a blue leather interior with bucket seats and a console. These 633CSi’s were offered loaded up with little optional equipment with this example having an original MSRP of $41,075 as delivered. With such an in-demand vehicle in this era, there was also an additional dealer mark-up of $750 as well as a dealer added pinstripe bringing the total dealer offered price to $41,914.

Under the hood is the legendary M30 3.2L Inline 6-cylinder engine with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection rated at 181 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Factory equipment includes a sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, an onboard computer, a cassette stereo with power antenna, an alarm system, power windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, air conditioning, 4-wheel power disc brakes, and a MacPherson strut semi-trailing arm suspension.

Built in March 1984, per the original window sticker it was factory delivered to Peter Pan Motors of San Mateo, CA. Per a sales order dated 2/25/1985, it was sold to its believed first owner of Davis, CA by Ramfield Motors of Stockton, CA for the sum of $33,002.20 with 210 miles on the odometer per the sales order as well as the pre-delivery inspection record in the service booklet. It would remain with the original owner for 5 years until it was acquired by its second owner of Peoria, IL on 3/21/1990 with a reported 49,710 miles. It would remain with the second owner for nearly 30 years when a Peoria, IL based independent dealer acquired it on 5/15/2019 with a reported 105,659 miles. On 10/12/2019 BMW of Peoria, IL acquired followed by BMW of Bloomington, IL on 6/5/2020 eventually selling it to its third owner of Northville, MI on 7/2/2020 followed by our recent acquisition in 2023.

Service history is paramount on any vehicle yet its especially important when dealing with a nearly 40-year-old vintage BMW in which the service file on this 633CSi is unmatched. Accounted for is every service record from new with service history at Ramfield Motors in Stockton, CA and Niello BMW in Sacramento, CA under first ownership. This is followed by service history at Joe McCarthy BMW in Peoria, IL, Kauth & Mayeur in Peoria, IL, and BMW of Peoria, IL under second ownership. And finally, Dixon Motorsports in Wixom, MI and Automotive Techniques in Novi, MI under third ownership. Within the nearly 30-year ownership of the second owner, it was religiously serviced at Kauth & Mayeur from April 1992 to October 2018 accounting for 58 of the 67 individual service records.

In full disclosure, sometime in 2018 the odometer stopped working at 105,659 miles as the plastic odometer gears in the dash, which are known for failing with age, met their shelf life. We had Automotive Techniques repair the odometer gears on 5/2/2023 in which it is believed the car was driven approximately 4,000 miles in these 5 years that the odometer was not working. It is now working with the current reading of 105,850 miles. Additionally, we had Automotive Techniques repair the air conditioning and install a new battery.

Under second ownership, paintwork was conducted by Phillips Autobody in Peoria, IL in 2008, paint and minor rust repair was conducted at Heiser’s Autobody in Peoria, IL in 2011, and a complete repaint was conducted at Heiser’s Autobody in Peoria, IL in 2016. Under third ownership, modifications were conducted by Dixon Motorsports which included a performance camshaft, machining the cylinder head, and a full stainless steel Supersprint exhaust including headers totaling $6,500. The original exhaust manifolds and camshaft are included with the car. It also has a Bilstein sport suspension installed that lowered the ride height 1.5″ and cost $780, including the updated brake rotors there’s nearly $8,000 in performance updates installed. Currently installed is a set of 17″ Alpina replica wheels produced by Ricambi wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires sized 235/45ZR17.

In addition to the massive service file, original exhaust manifolds, and original camshaft; also included is the original window sticker, the original sales order, the original books and manuals, and 2 sets of original keys.
